Instructors Dorie Newton, CPC-I, AAPC approved PMCC Instructor (Flagstaff), has 15 years of physician medical coding and billing experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine and OB-GYN practices. She has been teaching physician medical coding to physicians, PA's and students for the past 5 years. She is founder and past president of Southeastern Arizona Coders local AAPC chapter in Safford, Arizona. She holds Certificates of Proficiency in OB-GYN and Emergency Medicine.
Using her wealth of knowledge, light-hearted nature, and sense of humor she makes the students' learning experience fun and delightful.
Lorrie Price, CPC-I, CPC-H, AAPC approved PMCC Instructor (Phoenix), has been in healthcare for the past 30 years in all aspects of physician medical practices. Her clinical background includes 10 years as a medical assistant in multispecialty practices. She is currently the Administrator/Regional Coder for VHS Outpatient Clinics overseeing 26 outpatient clinics billing and coding compliance. She has been teaching physician and facility medical coding for the past 3 years.
Her students will enjoy the ways in which she can share her passion for coding and her ability to engage her students in learning.
Susan Ward, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CEMC, CPCD, CPRC approved PMCC Instructor (Phoenix), has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. Working in many aspects of coding, billing and practice management, Susan has enthusiasm for teaching and loves Evaluation and Management and the Integumentary System. Susan's love of education shows with her passion to teach and help others understand coding and reimbursement. In addition to working full time for a Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon, Susan is also a workshop presenter for the AAPC and presents for local chapters all over the country. Her classroom is always filled with laughter and learning.
Lynn M Hosking, BS,CPC,CPC-I, AAPC approved PMCC Instructor (Dewey/Prescott), has over 20 years of coding experience in most areas/subspecialties. Prior to becoming involved in the healthcare industry, she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Education. Lynn has been involved in the teaching and mentoring of coders, physicians, administrators throughout her healthcare career. She is also the co-founder and past President of the Prescott Chapter for the AAPC. Lynn is currently working as an Independent Consultant for various clients throughout the Country.
Her students will enjoy the many stories and experiences she brings to class keeping it entertaining and informative.
Jill Tom, CPC, CCP-P, PCS approved PMCC Instructor (Mesa), has been in the healthcare industry for over 17 years. Her background is working with small and large physician groups and has worked in many aspects of coding, billing & compliance. Jill is a passionate mentor for students and enjoys helping others with coding & billing. Jill also is experienced with HIPAA regulations and compliance as it relates to physician group billing & coding.
In addition to working full time for a group of vascular surgeons Jill is an Ingenix Advisory Board Member as well as an officer in her local AAPC Chapter.
